I wrote this song for a high school friend sometime in 96-97, after his girlfriend broke up with him over the phone. I've always performed it with just a solo acoustic guitar, but for this recording, decided to add a little background synth.
lyrics
Someone
Calling on the telephone
Telling me
The bad news that I’m on my own
It’s raining
Outside and in my head
I’m drowning
I’m dying
Summer days
I need some more sunny days
To dry the rain
To ease my pain
I’m crying
Although it seems like such
A useless thing to do
I’m drowning
All alone
