This is my cover of The Black Penguins' "HOPE"
When Eric of the Black Penguins first sent me his demo, my mind immediately thought of "Teardrop" by Massive Attack, and I wanted to try and recreate that sound/emotion.
After putting a few layers down, the song was missing something. I tried having a turntablist scratch over, I was trying audio clips, it needed something. I sent the rough version back to Eric, and he laid down an awesome guitar solo over the whole thing. I ended up cutting and pasting his solo into the middle and end parts that you hear, and the song had what it needed!
